Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! is a hilarious and critically acclaimed political farce about two housewives who decide to rebel against inflationary supermarket prices, while trying to hide the evidence from their righteous, trade unionist husbands and the ever-present arm of the law. What lengths will they go to to conceal the truth, and what might happen if they get caught? A raucous romp originally written in the 70s, but with themes still achingly relevant today.
 
Can’t Pay? Won’t Pay! will be directed by Stephen Hayward, who graduated from Mountview in 2019, and whose recent credits include the 5* shows Blitz! (Union theatre) and the self-penned A Final Act of Friendship (White Bear Theatre). He’s on the lookout for confident, comic actors who aren’t afraid to play and have fun.
